1 killed in Stabbing Incident

GUIPOS, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 12, 2018) – One person was killed in Stabbing Incident transpired at Purok 1B, Barangay Dalapan, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur at about 8:30 PM of October 11, 2018.

The victim identified as Crispino Tual y Coronel, 36 years old, married, farmer by occupation and a resident of Purok 4, of the aforesaid place was stabbed by the suspect identified as Moses Supelanas alias Oting, 50 years old, married, CAA/CAFGU member presently assigned at Purok 3, Brgy, Dalapan,Guipos with the use of Bolo. 

Initial Investigation conducted by the PNP personnel of Guipos MPS disclosed that while the victim together with his wife Josiphine Tual and four children were walking going toward to his residence, upon reaching at the place of incident particularly at Purok 1B, Barangay Dalapan, Guipos, Zaboanga del Sur the suspect suddenly appeared armed with a bolo and without apparent reason stabbed the victim twice hitting on his left chest and left armed that caused his instantaneous death.

Suspect immediately fled on foot to unknown direction after the incident. Guipos MPS is now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.  Motive of the incident is still to be determined

2 person wounded in Shooting Incident

GUIPOS, Zamboanga Del Sur(Oct.2, 2018) -  Two person were wounded in shooting incident transpired at Barangay Poblacion, Guipos, ZamboangaDel Sur on or about 4:15pm of October 1, 2018.

Upon receipt of the report, PNP elements Guipos MPS proceeded to the reported place for the conduct of ocular inspection/investigation of the aforementioned reported shooting incident.

Upon arrival thereat, two person were wounded identified as Michael MacaslingLaurete, 22 years old, married, male and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Concepcion, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur and Ernesto ApamanVillagonzalo, 58 years old, widower, tricycle driver and a resident of Purok 4, Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

Initial Investigation conducted disclosed that PO2 Julie Pangambayan Tagayan, 44 years old, single, presently assigned at Guipos MPS while rendering his duty as beat Patrol at the vicinity of BUS terminal located at Poblacion Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, one concerned citizen reported that there was a man with a gun on his hand.

Then and there, as Police officer responded the report and then he saw personally a man holding a gun on his hand identified later as Michael Macasling Laurete. He shouted the suspect to freeze and identified himself as a policeman.

But all of the sudden, the said person grabbed one of the bystanders and used as a human shield and then drew his gun and shot the police officer twice but luckily the bullets are expired.

When PO2 Julie Tagayan thinks that his life was in danger therefore he retaliates and returned fire but aiming on the hand of the suspect purposely only to destabilize him.

The suspect sustained lone gunshot wound on his right hand but unluckily the civilian identified later as Ernesto Villagonzalo also sustained slightly wound at his right waist.

After the suspect was shot, he pushed the civilian and run towards the rice field but he was chased and arrested by PO2 Julie Tagayan together with his buddy SPO1 Reynaldo Ambayec.

The said suspect and the injured civilian was immediately brought to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment. Recovered from the position of the suspect are one Sling bag, one holster, one caliber .38 revolver without serial number and two live ammunitions.

Motive of the incident is to be determined. Investigator is SPO1 Brian Sagun Acojedo with CP no. 09381741652. 

Shooting Incident

GUIPOS, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 29, 2018) - Shooting incident that transpired at Purok 5 Barangay Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur. about 6:25 PM of September 27, 2018.

The victim was identified as Alberto Saavedra Pahayahay, 50 years old, married, Tricycle driver and a resident of Purok 1- A, Barangay Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur. He was shot to death by two unidentified person/s.

Investigation conducted by Guipos MPS disclosed that the victim traversing from Evelyn Resorts Poblacion proper of Guipos Municipality riding his tricycle Payong-payong.

Upon reaching at Purok 5 of Barangay Poblacion Guipos the two motorcycle riding suspects arrived and without apparent reason shots the victim trice using cal. 45 pistol based on the three empty shells recovered from the crime scene.

Victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of her body and was declared dead on the spot by Dra. Kristin Lipayon, Munipal Doctor of Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur.

After Post Mortem Examination the victim was brought by his family to St. Peter Funeral Homes, Barangay Betinan, San Miguel, Zamboaga Del Sur.

Motive of the incident is not yet determined. Investigator on Case is SPO1 Brian Sagun Acojedo with CP no. 09381741652.

Rape Suspect Arrested in Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur

GUIPOS, ZamboSur (Aug. 3, 2018)- A farmer who was facing Rape and Acts of Lasciviousness charges was arrested by PNP elements of Guipos Municipal Police Station PS in a manhunt operation “charlie” at Purok 2, Brgy Katipunan, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:20 AM of August 1, 2018.

Police Senior Inspector Jaycel R Cabarrubias, Guipos Police Chief, identified the accused as Feliciano S Patires, 62 years old, married farmer and resident of the

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest (WOA) docketed under Criminal Case # 13948-2k18 for the crime of Rape under Art 266-A para 2 in relation to Section 5(b) RA 7610 with bail bond recommended of Php120,000.00. Another case of Acts of Lasciviousness (3 counts) docketed under Criminal Case # 13949-2k18, 13950-2k18 and 13951-2k18 with bail bond recommended of Php36,000.00.  The WOA was issued by Hon Judge Analyn F Ramas-Costanilla, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 23, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur dated July 4, 2018.  

The arrested person is now under the custody of Guipos MPS for documentation and booking procedure prior turn over to the issuing court for proper disposition. (By JONG CADION)

Murder suspect in Guipos, ZamboSur arrested in Lalano del Norte

GUIPOS, Zamboanga del Sur (July 27, 2018) – The PNP personnel of GuiposMunicipal Police Station (MPS) successfully arrested the wanted person during theconduct ofpolice operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 2:30pmof July24, 2018 at Purok 1, Barangay San Vicente, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte, police official said.

Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) PIO Chief CINSP Helen L. Galvez identified the arrested personasMarquin Gomez y Antone, 33 years old, with live-in partner, driver and a resident of Purok 1, San Vicente, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte.

CINSP Galvez said the accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder docketed under criminal case number 8375-2k6 issued by Hon. Aniceto B. Galon Jr., Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 20, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur dated April 24, 2007 with no Bail bond recommended for his liberty.

The accused is now temporary detained at Guipos MPS detention cell waiting for court disposition, Galvez added. (By JONG CADION)

Police arrested suspect of Theft

GUIPOS, Zamboanga del Sur (April 24, 2018) – The operating personnel of Guipos MPS conducted police operation (service of warrant of arrest) at Purok Ipil-Ipil, Barangay Canunan of the said municipality Monday at 3:20pm.

The operation resulted to the successful arrest of Danilo Alajenio Alboroto, 47 years old, married, fish vendor and a resident of said place.

Subject person has pending warrant of arrest for the crime of theft docketed under Criminal Case No. 470-05 issued by Hon. Marciana Q Degema, Judge of Municipal Trial Court In Cities, Branch 1, Ilo-Ilo City dated August 14, 2006 with bail bond recommended in the amount of ten thousand pesos (P10,000.00). 

The accused is now temporary detained at Guipos MPS for proper disposition. (By Jong Cadion)
